Fresh fishMeagre steak gregada

Ingredients for two persons:
  • meagre steaks 600 g
  • potatoes, carrots and red onions, 200 g each
  • garlic and parsley, 30 g each
  • white wine 1 dl
  • olive oil 0,5 dl
  • a pinch of salt and pepper
 
Recipe:
Peel the potatoes, carrots, red onions and garlic and slice them into flakes. Finely chop the parsley. Fry all of the vegetables briefly in olive oil, then add 1 litre of water. After 15 minutes of cooking, add the meagre steaks and white wine, then cook for approximately 5 more minutes. Serve the meagre, soup and vegetables together with some garnish.
 
Note:
An old dish prepared by Dalmatian fishermen and workmen. Gregada is a complete meal – with it, you get soup, side dish and main course.
